Does anyone know what the mid-PTO speed is on JD compacts, specifically an older 650? I was considering converting a belly mower to a rear, 3 pt. mount but I'm concerned the PTOs turn at different speeds. Any ideas? Thanks, Bryan

On my JD790 the mid PTO speed is around 2000 RPM at PTO engine rpm. Hope this helps. ....

For most US tractors the standard PTO speed is 540 for rear and 2000 rpm for mid-pto's with the tractor engine at normal PTO speed. David ....

The mid pto speed on the John Deere 650 is 2,000 RPMs. If you move a mid-mount mower deck to the rear, it will not turn fast enough to cut grass. ....
